Rockets Dennis Schroeder is not expected to seek a contract buyout and will play the rest of the season.

More recently, according to NBA veteran recorder Mark Stein, just one week before the March 2 contract buyout deadline, neither the Houston Rockets nor Dennis Schroeder would approve of such an operation.

Under the rules, any player currently playing on an NBA team must be released by March 2 in order to qualify for the playoffs with subsequent teams. Therefore, that date is a valid deadline for any signing negotiations.

When the Rockets traded Schroders on the Feb. 11 trade deadline, many initially thought the move was just to free veteran Daniel Theis salary. The Rockets are currently 15-43, the worst in the Western Conference and in the middle of the rebuilding campaign, with The 28-year-old Schroeder at the top of his career.

In addition, since Schroeder's current contract is one year, the Rockets will not have the right to re-sign Schroeder in the offseason, even if Schroeder performs well and successfully arouses the rockets' interest and is willing to offer him a big and long contract.

Still, the Rockets clearly see the value of Schroeder as a stabilizing force in the backcourt in the short term, and he can help the development of young players such as rookie Jaylen Green, Josh Christopher and Alperen Sengen.

In addition, even without bird rights, the Rockets have the potential to re-sign Schroeder at 120 percent, and Schroeder's current salary is $5.9 million.

According to league sources, Dennis Schroeder is coming to the end of the season in Houston. Neither the Rockets nor Schroeder approve of a buyout, and the March 1 deadline is approaching, and all candidates for the buyout will be released league-wide to secure his next team qualifies for the playoffs, the sources said.

Without Schroeder's own consent, these short- or long-term desires to stay in the team would not be realistic. But according to source Stein, Schroeder and the Rockets are currently in the same phase, which could last until the rest of the 2021-22 season. That said, Schroeder won't leave the Rockets this season.

In the Rockets' three games, Schroeder is currently averaging 12.0 points, 7.7 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 29 minutes. Well, congratulations to the Rockets for successfully retaining Schroeder and making the next game even better.
