The "Poor Stick Society" organized by the Xipu Village Kingdom Clan was praised by the leaders and was known as representing the image of China at that time. The "Poor Stick Society" and the Kingdom Of The Rock are also well known.
The spirit of the poor stick represented the spirit of hard work of the people at that time to change the appearance of the poor and the white, organize, unite as one, not afraid of difficulties, and struggle hard.
Speaking from the heart, the peasants who have just been allocated land will not eat enough grain because of years of poverty and poverty; they will have no means of production, the means of production will be in short supply, there will be no woks for farming, and there will be no large livestock and ploughshares for cultivated land; and in the face of natural disasters and diseases, new poor households and beggars will appear.
At that time, the 23 peasant households of the "Poor Stick Society" established at that time had only three donkey legs, and the 23 peasant households did not have a complete donkey, and only owned three-quarters of the shares, and a quarter of the peasant families who did not want to join the cooperative.
Such poor material conditions, if not organized and emphasized going it alone, are difficult to overcome the difficulties encountered by relying solely on individual forces.
Organizing to help each other is the way out. Such an approach is a contribution to changing the face of rural poverty and backwardness in a specific period.
This spirit of organizing and working hard has laid a material foundation for us and gradually changed the appearance of poverty and whiteness.
Chairman Mao read the report on the deeds of the "Poor Sticks" Society, and wrote comments and notes: "There is a Kingdom Clan Cooperative in the cooperative movement in Zunhua County. Twenty-three poor peasant families had only three donkey legs, and they were called the 'Poor Stick Society'. With their own efforts, in three years, they have taken a large amount of means of production from the mountains, which has moved some visitors to tears, and I think this is the image of our whole country. Can't sixty million poor sticks become a socialist rich and strong country within a few decades, thanks to their own efforts? The wealth of society is created by the workers, peasants and intellectuals themselves. As long as these people control their own destiny and have a Marxist-Leninist line, not to avoid problems, but to solve problems with a positive attitude, any human difficulties can always be solved. ”
