author:Little Law nagged

Today, we say such a word, called the continuation of the string, ah, some people say, I know, when playing the guitar, or playing the guzheng, playing, "Bao'er", the strings are broken, and then get a new string to replace, continue the string. Haha, if you want to understand it this way, it would be a big mistake. The correct explanation is that this man has died his wife, and he will marry another one, which is called a continuation. So why is it called a continuation string? Many dictionaries explain it, saying that the ancients used this qinser to compare husband and wife, alas, when they got married, weren't there such blessings, "Ah, I wish the two qinser harmony." "So, this man has a dead wife, called broken strings, remarried, married another one, called a continuation of the strings." So is this explanation correct? Well, it could be said that way, but that explanation is not supported by literature.

Why should a man who loses his wife be called a "broken string"? And marrying another wife is called "continuation"?

In fact, the two sayings of broken strings and continued strings are a kind of magical glue from ancient times, which is called "continuous string glue". The poem Saint Du Fu has a poem in which this kind of glue is mentioned, "Linjiao Phoenix mouth is unknown, and the fried glue continues to see itself." Many people don't understand what these two verses mean, that is, because they don't know the source of this glue.

There was a book in the Han Dynasty called "The Record of the Ten Continents of Hainei", alas, I don't know who wrote it, but the author borrowed the name of Dongfang Shuo and said that it was written by Dongfang Shuo. In this book, it is recorded that Emperor Wudi of Han heard the Queen Mother of the West say that there were ten continents in the sea, namely Zuzhou, Yingzhou, Xuanzhou, Yanzhou, Changzhou, Yuanzhou, Liuzhou, Shengzhou, Fenglinzhou, and Juguzhou, so he called Dongfang Shuo.

Dongfang Shuo is funny and humorous, erudite, is a naturalist, ha, said cross-talk or how to provide him as a grandfather," cross-talk belly grocery store, miscellaneous gollum. "Haha. Emperor Wu of Han asked Dongfang Shuo to tell him about the treasures of these ten continents. When it came to this Fenglin Continent, Dongfang Shuo said, saying that this Fenglin Continent is in the middle of the West Sea, and on the continent, there are many phoenixes and unicorns, ah, the immortals on this continent, boiling together with the mouth of this phoenix and the horns of the qilin, and boiling out the ointment, called Lianjin Mud. This even gold clay is very magical, it can be, the bow string and crossbow string on the crossbow are glued, and the gold artifact that is cut by the sword can be glued, and as long as it is glued with this glue, it will never break again, it will not break. Therefore, this even gold clay is also called the continuation of the string glue.

One year, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty toured the North Sea and held a grand spring festival on Mount Heng. The King of the West sent emissaries to pay tribute to four or two strings of glue and a piece of Yoshimitsu fur. Emperor Wudi of Han didn't know what kind of treasure this was, he felt that a small western country could have any rare treasures, so he didn't care, so he threw these things into the warehouse outside the palace. After returning to Chang'an, Emperor Wu of Han once went hunting, saw a tiger, hurriedly drew a bow and arrow, recognized the buckle to fill the string, pushed Taishan in front, and then pushed like a tiger's tail, crunching and squeaking, this bow can be pulled open, but this momentum makes it too big, the arrow has not yet shot out, this bow string is broken. At that time, there was a messenger of this western country on the side, and quickly took out some of this string glue, and glued this bow string, and as a result, at the end of the day, no matter how much strength you made, this bow string was never broken again. Emperor Wudi of Han suddenly realized, "Oh, it turns out that this is really a treasure!" Hurry, go to the warehouse, ah, find out for me the things that the Western Kingdom has paid tribute to. "What is this Yoshimitsu Fur Fur?" Ji Guang Ya, is the name of a kind of divine horse, made of Ji Guang's fur this fur coat, it is not sinking into the water, into the fire is not scorched, ah, water and fire are not afraid. There is an idiom called Yoshimitsu Katayu, which refers to a feather on the body of this sacred horse, metaphorically, a remnant of an artistic treasure.

Those two poems of Du Fu speak of this allusion.

In ancient times, the phoenix and other kind of divine birds were also called luans, so the continuation glue was also called luan glue, alas, is it boiled with the mouth of this phoenix? Luan, also refers to husband and wife, alas, Luan Feng, Luan Feng and Ming, which all refer to the harmonious feelings of this husband and wife. Therefore, this man who loses his wife and remarries is called "Luan Continuation", which means that it is the meaning of using this luan glue to connect the bow string, and it is logical that this man who loses his wife is called a broken string, and if he marries again, it is called a continuation of the string.

Liu Jian, a poet of the Fifth Dynasty, wrote a poem that reads, "Luan gum is difficult to find everywhere, and it is impossible to cut off the acacia." "That means that after losing a wife, if you want to find a wife who can marry, it is difficult, and you can't find it."
