As one of the members of the 24th and 27th batches of China's Hubei Aid African Medical Team, Yan Jinrong always felt that it was an honor and a mission to be selected. In the two times of aid to Africa, she worked diligently and overcame many difficulties, and finally won the recognition of higher departments and the praise of the local people with her excellent medical skills and lofty medical ethics. The Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Hanschelai Province, Algeria, which is currently assisted by yan's medical team, is the only public general hospital in the province. However, the hospital has only 2 operating rooms, the supply of disinfection and surgical instruments is in short supply, but it receives more than 400 pregnant women in vaginal delivery and caesarean section every month, nearly 80 gynecological surgeries, most emergency women have multiple caesarean section history, diabetes, hypertension, uterine rupture and other critical situations are not uncommon. Due to the country's weak awareness of epidemic prevention and control, doctors also need to protect themselves at all times, and each operation is a challenge to doctors' physical strength and medical skills.

On September 17, 2021, Yan Jinrong received a request for support from his teammate Dr. Wang Qiong, and a newborn mother with an 8 cm umbilical cord prolapse at the opening of the uterine opening and a weak fetal heart sound was in a very critical condition. Yan Jinrong decided to operate immediately after inspecting the pregnant woman's condition, and the fetus was removed in only 3 minutes.

In addition to the "continuous rotation" work, Yan Jinrong and his teammates used their rest time to take hoes, reclaim land in limited space to grow vegetables, go up the mountain to collect sheep manure, lead water pipes, arrange shifts to water, catch insects, pick wild boars in the middle of the night, and build iron fences for vegetable fields... More than a month later, the vegetable field also began to see the scale, the vegetables were lush, and under the care of the medical team, they were born in the sun.
