The loneliest hotel in the world
Living in desert and rocks
When it comes to countries with a high concentration of wild luxury, Namibia must be on the list.
A country known as "the ocean and the desert are directly connected", if you drive on the road, you will have the magnificent Atlantic Ocean on one side and the undulating sand dunes on the other. Intertwined with a variety of fantasy scenes, it has become the most popular destination in Africa and has attracted countless movies to shoot here.
It is also a destination for the British royal family's private collection, and the Harrys honeymooned at hoanib Valley Camp in Kaokolan, away from the crowds, and private jets are the main means of travel.
Africa's top luxury hotel brand andBeyond also launched Sossusvlei Desert Lodge as early as 2019, located in the Namib Desert.
Among the many wild luxuries, MISS found that although it was not a big name, it was called the ceiling of the local wild luxury, called Zannier Hotels Sonop.
It was lonely, surrounded only by desert and rocks except for ten tents. But you can see the sunrise and sunset in the desert and feel the shock of reaching out to pick the stars.
01
It's lonely
Like from an alien planet
Zannier Sonop is located in southern Namibia, near the desert of the Sosuviere dunes formed more than 80 million years ago.
Because of its location at the low latitudes of the southern hemisphere, it is the most suitable area for stargazing in the world. Lying in the room, rolling up the tent can see the stars.
Its location is rare.
Wilderness and rock form part of the hotel, with only 10 tented rooms spread across 13,800 acres of private area.
Viewed from the air, the earth-colored tent blends in with the surrounding rocks.
They are arranged in sequence, with public areas such as reception, lounge areas and restaurants at the top of the rock pile offering the best views, while the spa is located in the soft sand at the bottom.
All areas are connected by a wooden boardwalk, which follows the changing desert landscape and the occasional animal galloping past them.
At night, the hotel shimmers like a distant galaxy, and lights only light up the boardwalk. At this time, looking up at the sky full of stars, it seems to be standing on the top of the world.

Recreate the life of an English explorer
Rugged rocks and rugged desert landscapes contrast with the luxury of the rooms, by designer Geraldine Dohogne.
The 10 rooms are divided into one- and two-bedroom tents, measuring between 37-44 square meters, and still enjoy a separate seating area and living room.
Each tent is supported by a wooden deck on the rock, which acts as a reinforcement and second as a private landscaped terrace.
Geraldine Dohogne is the royal designer of the Zenier Hotel Group, having never designed a hotel for the group before, and is a non-graduate.
After experiencing her work, you will be somewhat amazed by her talent.
At Zannier Sonop, she takes you back in time to the life of a British explorer in the 1920s.
In the guest rooms, instead of finely polished ornate, mahogany chairs and antique desks from the British flea market are paired with local Namibian fabrics and artworks, which is the aesthetic in the designer's eyes.
At the same time, the guest room reveals the designer's careful machine, the bathtub occupies the best view, and the two sides of the open view do not hesitate to introduce the natural landscape.
The desert has a large temperature difference between day and night, with temperatures as high as 38 degrees Celsius during the day and falling to zero degrees at night. Therefore, the tent uses a double fabric, which is sweltering during the day and pulls up the canvas wall to cool down, and rolls down at night to control the indoor temperature.
In this way, the use of air conditioning is reduced and plays a role in environmental protection.

Small but beautiful boutique hotel
Advocate a return to basics
Zannier Sonop is part of Zannier Hotels and has owned five hotels in its ten years, including two in Namibia.
It is full of the founder Arnaud Zannier's affection for Africa, and by opening a hotel, he has established a 7,500-hectare protected area in Africa to rescue local poached animals.
Injured bull elephants, two orphan lion cubs and a white rhino have been rescued, and 19 critically endangered species of wildlife live in the reserve.
In addition to Africa, Zannier Hotel Group has semicolons in Europe and Asia.
The newest Zannier Hotels B i San H in Coral Bay, Vietnam, is surrounded by rice paddies, verdant mountains, bamboo forests and palm groves, and fine white sand beaches.
The interior design allows everything to return to its natural authenticity, is this style familiar?
In Ghent, Belgium, the post office of a Gothic building was converted into a hotel, preserving the original antique buildings of the post office, dark wallpaper and windows, etc., blending contemporary elements and historical sense into the design.
