Yi Shijuan, a famous national labor model and former vice chairman of the Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions, is gone. At 8:51 a.m. on February 8, Comrade Yi Shijuan died in Huadong Hospital at the age of 92 due to ineffective medical treatment. On the morning of February 10, the farewell ceremony of Comrade Yi Shijuan was held at Longhua Funeral Home.
In 1929, Born in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, Yi Shijuan only read for one year in the old society, and then went to the factory to do the most bitter and tired cultivation work, and in 1947 entered the fine yarn workshop of the Second Cotton Textile Factory in Shanghai as a car worker. When the "Hao Jianxiu Work Method" was promoted in Shanghai, Yi Shijuan was the first and most serious person to learn. She carefully pondered and formed her own unique method of operation. She took the lead in promoting in the factory and was elected by the masses as the leader of the production team. Through her transmission, help, and guidance, her group became a model group for learning the "Hao Jianxiu Work Method" in Shanghai. Since 1953, the production plan has been fully exceeded for 8 consecutive years, and the quantity and quality of products have reached the national advanced level.

In 1952, she joined the Communist Party of China. Under her influence, ten of the group's more than thirty members joined the Communist Party, ten joined the Communist Youth League, and the group was named the "National Textile Model Group". The "Yishijuan Group" has maintained the exemplary collective title for more than 30 years and is known as the "red furnace" that will never fade.
In 1953, She shijuan won the honorary title of national textile industry labor model, and then won the title of Shanghai model worker for 7 consecutive times and the title of national labor model twice. Since 1978, she has been the vice chairman of the Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions, and was elected as a deputy to the First to Sixth National People's Congress and a member of the Standing Committee of the Fifth National People's Congress.
In July last year, Yi Shijuan donated 70 archival materials from her collection to the Shanghai Municipal Archives. She said that the dedication of these treasures is in the hope of "allowing more people to see, know and commemorate this precious historical time." At the donation ceremony, Yi Shijuan, who is in her nineties, clearly remembers the scene when she attended the first session of the First National People's Congress in 1954, "Hang Peilan and Yuan Xuefen were the three youngest female representatives in the Shanghai representative group at that time. "Many of our deputies met Chairman Mao and Premier Zhou for the first time, and when I applauded, my hands were swollen, but I was unconscious at the time." Yi Shijuan still remembers some of the details of that year.

At the donation ceremony, Yi Shijuan fondly recalled, "Before liberation, women weavers had no status; after liberation, we became the masters of the country. I can have today, all of which are cultivated by the party! ”
