On February 10, the Forest Police Station of the Pucheng County Public Security Bureau successfully investigated and dealt with an illegal hunting case, and the suspects involved in the case, Bai X, Liu X, Liu X and Liu Chang X, were investigated by the public security organs.
At about 21:00 on the same day, when the police patrolled near The National Wetland Park Haloyang Lake, they found Bai Mou (male, 47 years old, Fuping Zhangqiao people), Liu Mou (male, 48 years old, Fuping Zhangqiao people), Liu Yimou (male, 66 years old, Fuping Zhangqiao people), Liu Changmou (49 years old, Fuping Zhangqiao people) 4 people using headlights to illuminate, using slingshots to launch steel balls, playing birds near the Haloyang Lake Wetland Park, and then controlling four people, and seized 1 white canvas bag of bird fighting tools, 4 headlamps, 3 leather slingshots, and 62 steel balls. The 12 wild birds that died, including 1 gray magpie, 4 spotted doves and 7 sparrows, all belonged to the national "three haves" protected animals. Subsequently, the police took the 4 people back to the public security organs for questioning. At present, the case is under further investigation.
Police tips: According to the Wildlife Protection Law and other relevant regulations, the slingshot has been included in the prohibited tools, and the use of the slingshot to hit birds is illegal hunting, and the circumstances are serious and constitute a crime. The police call on the general public to enhance their legal awareness and ecological awareness, cherish and love wild animals, consciously resist illegal hunting of wild animals, and jointly create a good natural environment.
