On February 11, SAIC Motor released the January production and sales express, and the wholesale sales of vehicles in the month were 456,000 units, an increase of 13% year-on-year, and the terminal delivery reached 518,000 units. Among them, independent brands, new energy, overseas market performance is eye-catching, while the main joint ventures maintain a stable and good development trend, especially SAIC Volkswagen, single-month sales increased by 51.7% year-on-year.
Independent brands accelerate the run. In January this year, SAIC Passenger Vehicle Company's wholesale sales reached 68,000 units, an increase of 18% year-on-year, and the terminal delivery volume exceeded 88,000 units, a record high in the same period, and the sales of Roewe RX5, i5, MG ZS and MG5 models exceeded 10,000. SAIC Maxus sold 18,000 units, an increase of 44.3% year-on-year, and its flagship products such as light buses and pickup trucks always occupied the forefront of the market segment.
New energy vehicles continue to grow. In January, SAIC's new energy vehicle sales exceeded 72,000 units, an increase of 25.5% year-on-year, ranking first in the world. Among them, SAIC-GM-Wuling small and micro electric vehicles continue to maintain a dominant position in the market, SAIC Passenger Vehicle Company's new energy vehicle sales reached 15,000 units, SAIC-Volkswagen new energy vehicles sold nearly 9,000 vehicles, SAIC-GM new energy vehicles sold more than 4,000 vehicles.
Overseas markets are booming. In January, SAIC's overall overseas sales exceeded 65,000 units, an increase of 74.4% year-on-year, and sales in developed countries and regions such as Europe, Australia and New Zealand accounted for 40%. SAIC, as China's first systematic, planned, and formed "going out" automotive enterprises, has established a set of R & D, marketing, logistics, parts, manufacturing, finance, second-hand cars as one of the automotive industry chain for the global market, the current products and services have landed in more than 80 countries and regions around the world, "every three Chinese cars sold overseas, one is made by SAIC Motor.".
