Passenger throughput increased by 13.9% year-on-year! Cargo and mail throughput increased by 11% year-on-year! In the first month of this year, Xinjiang Airport Group ushered in a good start, and the main business indicators increased significantly.

As the largest province in China, the air transport network is an important part of the construction of Xinjiang's comprehensive three-dimensional transport network. At present, Xinjiang is focusing on "xinjiang inner ring, speeding up in and out of Xinjiang", and accelerating the construction of an air network transportation system of "dry support, branch and support, and full network connection"; Xinjiang civil aviation people are practicing their internal skills to provide high-quality transportation services as the starting point to make the "Air Silk Road" smoother and more efficient.

Travel is more efficient and convenient

On February 9, at Urumqi Diwopu International Airport, passengers lined up in an orderly manner, scanned the code and measured the temperature to enter the departure hall of Terminal 3, checked in and checked in luggage according to the process.

For passengers carrying large cargo and luggage, the airport has set up special services such as large baggage counters and self-service check-in to facilitate convenient and fast check-in for passengers.

"Check-in was done in a very short time." Li Fan, a passenger who was preparing to fly to Beijing, said that she and several friends came to Xinjiang to ski and took the plane back and forth to deeply feel the efficiency and service of Xinjiang airport traffic.

Since the end of last year, all airports in Xinjiang have further strengthened legal, scientific and precise epidemic prevention and control measures, optimized the flight guarantee process and rational arrangement of aircraft slots in medium- and high-risk areas, changed the previous mode of passenger transfer, shortened the stay time of passengers at the airport, improved the efficiency of inbound flight support, and ensured the safe and orderly flow of people and logistics with high-quality and efficient services.

Provide free mobile phone charging cables, handbags, and sub-bottles for passengers; change the waiting of passengers entering and leaving the port from "people waiting for the car" to "car and other people"; shorten the security inspection time by more than half of the "easy security inspection" project; provide one-click call, sit-in and enjoy service items for wheelchair passengers... Focusing on the service pain points and hot spots in the passenger travel link, Urumqi International Airport has made every effort to improve the quality of service and make passengers satisfied with travel.

At the beginning of this year, the daily flight volume of Urumqi International Airport has been increasing, and the passenger flow in and out of the port has increased significantly. Among them, the number of flights on January 8 reached 405, recovering to 87.28% in the same period of 2019, and the single-day passenger throughput exceeded 44,000, a new high in the past six months.

Dou Yongqiang, secretary of the party branch of the epidemic prevention and control management department of Urumqi International Airport, said: "As a service window, the airport is to implement epidemic prevention measures in accordance with the law, science and precision, promote the safe and orderly flow of people and logistics, and continuously improve the traffic rate and flight comfort of passengers. ”

Ice and snow tours, red tours attract tourists from all over the country to "punch in"

In the past two days, the Altay region has issued an invitation, hoping that the Chinese women's football team will come to Altay to travel, and the cost is all inclusive. This is the altay region once again introducing itself to the whole country. The last successful promotion was the launch of the Cocoto Sea Ski Resort.

Nowadays, ice and snow tourism has become a new hot spot for consumption in Xinjiang. Located in Fuyun County, Cocoto Sea International Ski Resort is the earliest ski resort in China in winter, with the country's longest ski track "Jewel Avenue" and the steepest slope "Black Diamond Road" in the country, which is the favorite of some "snow friends".

Red lanterns, Chinese knots, ski slopes outside the terminal, cute ice piers, snow melting, all kinds of snow sculptures... Coming to Fuyun Cocoto Sea Airport, the Elements of the Winter Olympics first come into view, making traveling passengers feel a strong Winter Olympic atmosphere. "Fuyun Airport has made mini ski resorts and 'Year of the Tiger' snow sculptures in front of the terminal, and set up a 'Snow Friend Service Station' in the arrival hall to move the service position forward and provide 'one-stop' services such as inquiry guidance and assistance check-in for first-time travelers." And for the snow friends privately customized ski packing box, to create the atmosphere of the Winter Olympics, while providing a more convenient channel for promoting Xinjiang's tourism industry. Wang Yuwei, general manager of Fuyun Airport, said.

On January 14, 2022, the 2022 Ice and Snow "Chengdu-Xining-Fuyun (Cocoto Sea)" tourism route was opened, which is the first time since the opening of Fuyun Airport to the outside of Xinjiang route, and a large number of Chengdu tourists come to Cocoto Sea for skiing. In January, Fuyun Airport transported 2,766 passengers, an increase of 97.43% year-on-year.

Recently, Fuyun Airport has been awarded one of the first 32 red air tourism demonstration airports in China, and plans to develop Fuyun-Xi'an routes and Fuyun-Yutian routes.

Echoing the ice and snow heat in northern Xinjiang, the popularity of red tourism in southern Xinjiang has also continued to increase. Yutian County, located on the edge of the Taklamakan Desert, is one of the examples. In January this year, Yutian Wanfang Airport completed a passenger throughput of 0.83 million passengers and a cargo and mail throughput of 8.92 tons, an increase of 31.74% and 891.1% compared with the same period in 2021.

At present, There are 6 flights per day at Yutian Airport and 8 flights per day during peak periods, and the routes include Korla-Yutian-Hotan, Urumqi-Yutian, Shenzhen-Urumqi-Yutian. This year, the "red route" from Yutian to the capital Beijing is also expected to open.

Special product "Flying in the Sky" International freight to take advantage of the momentum

At 13:23 on February 10, Flight CZ5177 of China Southern Airlines Group Co., Ltd., loaded with 7.5 tons of cargo, took off and arrived at Manas International Airport in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan at 15:15 Beijing time, which is the sixth "passenger to cargo" flight performed by China Southern Airlines in Xinjiang since 2022.

Xinjiang's opening up of freight routes in Central and West Asia has the inherent advantages of short voyage and high efficiency. Combined with the characteristics of the market, China Southern Airlines actively explores the international air cargo market while consolidating and expanding the domestic market. On January 20, Xinjiang's first "passenger to cargo" flight to Almaty set sail. This year, China Southern Airlines will also promote the launch of many "passenger to cargo" routes such as Tashkent, Islamabad, and Aktobinsk, and make every effort to open up air transport channels centered on Urumqi.

Convenient air transport also allows Xinjiang specialties to "fly" to the whole country at the fastest speed.

According to Fan Yudong, director of the sales management office of China Southern Airlines Logistics Xinjiang Branch, since New Year's Day, the average daily transport volume of Xinjiang specialties has exceeded 100 tons, and from January 1 to 31, China Southern Airlines has guaranteed nearly 7,000 tons of annual cargo products in Xinjiang, an increase of 37% year-on-year.

In addition to "passenger to cargo", international freight charter flights have taken advantage of the momentum.

On 30 January, a charter flight from Kashgar to Lahore set sail, another international cargo route to Islamabad in Pakistan, Budapest in Hungary and Belgium this year. At present, the route from Kashgar to Islamabad and Liege has achieved the normal operation of 3 flights per week.

This year's new season, 15 airlines will operate at Kashgar (Shache) Airport, serving 28 cities. Guangzhou, Xining, Zhengzhou, Yining, Altay and other urban routes have been added, and the routes of Urumqi, Xi'an, Lanzhou and other cities have been encrypted, basically realizing express lines to meet the needs of domestic tourism "internal circulation".

This year, Xinjiang will focus on the development of international freight routes from Urumqi and Kashgar to Central and Western Asia and Europe; encrypt urumqi to five "million-level" airport routes, with more than 50 flights per day in the summer season and more than 40 flights per day in the winter season; more than 5 direct flights outside Xinjiang and more than 5 routes flying between xinjiang and branch lines in Xinjiang.

Tiger roaring mountains and forests, there will be echoes! The smooth flow of people, logistics and information will surely build a platform for Xinjiang's high-quality economic development. For the future, there are reasons to give more hope.
