This parent is not the only one with such problems.
Mr. Qi, who is in his 60s this year, also found that the 11-year-old grandson of the family during the Spring Festival took his mobile phone and ID card information to register and log in to a game, and recharged 1300 yuan without him knowing.
According to the data released by the Shanghai Municipal Consumer Protection Commission, during the Spring Festival holiday, complaints related to online games were not a few, and the Shanghai Consumer Protection Commission at all levels accepted a total of 185 complaints related to online games. This data ranked third in the local Spring Festival holiday service complaints.
In these complaints, some minors in order to bypass the game anti-addiction system, with grandparents' id documents to register, "easy" to play games, especially during the Spring Festival in the middle of the night frequent online, sneaky "recharge" and "fight", triggering refund disputes.
Minors are still playing games at one or two o'clock in the evening, which is obviously against the relevant regulations.
In August 2021, the State Press and Publication Administration issued the Notice on Further Strict Management to Effectively Prevent Minors from Addicting to Online Games. The notice requires that all online game enterprises can only provide 1 hour of service to minors from 20:00 to 21:00 every day on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays, and may not provide online game services to minors in any form at other times.
Just before the Spring Festival this year, in January, several major domestic game manufacturers have successively announced the Spring Festival limited play notice. It is clear that during the Spring Festival holiday, minors can only log in to the game from 20:00 to 21:00 on the same day.

In addition, some game companies have said that in the head game, all the elderly accounts over the age of 55 need face recognition every time they log in; the frequent use of multiple devices with the same account will also trigger face recognition.
However, not all online games currently include face recognition. Even in the games of some big game manufacturers, there are cases where face recognition functions are not added. Objectively, this provides an "opportunity" for minors to bypass the game anti-addiction system.
It is worth mentioning that in the cases disclosed by the Shanghai Municipal Consumer Protection Commission, there is no expression of the game's face recognition of the player.
