In the network WeChat and related media, it is often seen that young and middle-aged (30-50 years old) individuals (including key medical professionals) die prematurely due to sudden heart disease (sudden death). Among them, acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is the leading cause of death.

It is well known that there is a growing number of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). However, little is known about its age trends. Here, the authors report on the trend of rejuvenation in patients with acute myocardial infarction in China. Review the PubMed literature based on the keyword "AMI and Chin Med J (Engl)", collect available age data from the original research papers published in the Chinese Medical Journal from 1990-2019, and divide the age groups into 1990s, 1995s, 2000s, 2005s, 2010s, 2015s and 2020s. The mean minimum age of patients in each group was 55.0, 46.4, 48.2, 55.0, 47.1, 43.9, and 52.8 years, respectively. As a result, the average minimum age curve of patients with acute myocardial infarction can be obtained, and a trend of rejuvenation was found in 2003-2017. The causes are mainly related to major risk factors associated with modern unhealthy lifestyles (e.g., environmental pollution, acute and chronic infections of oneself, hypertension, staying up late for a long time, bad mood, obesity, lack of exercise, heavy smoking, alcohol abuse, and the "three highs" diet). The paper argues that a novel classification of key risk factors based on the "environment-sleep-mood-motor-diet" intervention [E(e)SEEDi] could help residents around the world better prevent and control acute myocardial infarction.

The paper is the first cardiovascular clinical research paper written by Dr. Hu Chunsong of Nanchang University after graduation and preprinted by an independent author, and its English abstract has been accepted by the 23rd National Annual Conference on Cardiovascular Diseases held last year (Xiamen, China, 2021.12). The research design is novel, the method is concise and reliable, the practical significance is significant, and it is currently in the process of submitting papers in top international journals and looking forward to its official publication.

At present, Nanchang University is struggling to sprint to the second round of "double first-class" university construction of the Ministry of Education. Clinical medicine is a key construction and development discipline in Jiangxi Province during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. In the context of the new concepts of "ensuring health and prosperity" and "common health is common prosperity", efforts to do a good job in the primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases and reduce the harm of major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) such as acute myocardial infarction are of great practical significance for improving the labor productivity, quality of life and life expectancy of mainland residents, and for the construction of "healthy Jiangxi, healthy China and healthy world".
