At the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 conference held on the evening of February 9, Beijing time, Samsung's new generation flagship Galaxy S22 series arrived as scheduled, as Samsung's flagship for the beginning of the year, is it still the undisputed Android king? Let's review this first blockbuster conference after the Spring Festival!
Galaxy S22 / S22+
Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+ adopts AMOLED straight screen with narrow bezels on all sides, with a single-cut hole design in the middle, and the S22 screen is 6.1 inches and the S22+ is 6.6 inches, the same 2340 x 1080 resolution.
Among them, the Samsung Galaxy S22 measurement data is 146.0 x 70.6 x 7.6 (mm), weighing only 168g, is the uncompromising Android small screen flagship. The Galaxy S22+ has 157.4 x 75.8 x 7.64(mm) data and weighs 196g, the mainstream Android phone level. Both phones are made of double-sided glass instead of the S21 standard version of the imitation glass texture plastic, and offer four colors: Yu meng white, zeguang powder, night black, and fog pine green.
As is customary, the exclusive colors of the Samsung online mall are not absent, namely Mousse White, Distant Mountain Gray, Lake Island Blue, and Light Lavender Purple.
In terms of core performance, Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ are equipped with Qualcomm's new generation Of Snapdragon 8 SoC, and the Exynos 2200 version exclusively available in the European Union, with 8GB of memory and 128/256GB of storage space.
In terms of imaging, the Galaxy S22, S22+ front 10MP camera (1/3.24", f/2.2), rear 50MP main camera (1/1.56", f/1.8, support OIS), 12MP ultra-wide angle (.5", f/2.2, 120° angle of view), 12MP telephoto (f/1.8, 3x zoom, support for OIS) triple camera combination.
Due to its "petite" body, the battery capacity of the Samsung Galaxy S22 is slightly smaller, 3700mAh, supporting 25W wired fast charging; S22+ battery capacity is 4500mAh, supporting 45W wired fast charging, supporting UWB ultra-wideband technology. Both models support 15W Qi wireless charging, USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 data interface, IP68 dustproof and waterproof, physical dual SIM card, reverse wireless charging.
I have to mention the operating system. Samsung Galaxy S22 series of pre-installed Android 12-based One UI 4.1, today's release of Samsung S22 series phones, Tab S8 series tablets are enjoying 4 years of Android version updates, 5 years of security patch support. For comparison, Google's "pro-son" Pixel 6 series with Tensor's self-developed chip can only get 3 years of Android updates.
Galaxy S22 Ultra
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the flagship model of the S22 series, but unlike the S22 and S22+, its body is square and tough, angular, supports the S Pen stylus and comes with its own slot, and the whole body is full of the shadow of the Note series. The Samsung Galaxy Note is now presented in the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The mobile phone provides four colors: crimson red, mist pine green, feather dream white, and obsidian black.

In terms of performance, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra also provides Qualcomm's new generation Snapdragon 8 and Exynos 2200 chip versions, all based on Samsung 4nm process, integrating 1 X2 super core, 3 A710 large cores, 4 A510 energy-efficient cores of the 8-core CPU, Snapdragon 8's X2 core frequency is higher (3.0GHz to 2.8GHz).
In terms of graphics performance, the Snapdragon 8 is equipped with the Adreno 730 GPU, and the Exynos 2200 is equipped with Xclipse 920 GPU, based on the AMD RDNA 2 architecture. AMD officially announced last summer that it joined hands with Samsung to create an RDNA 2 architecture mobile GPU, which attracted a lot of attention. However, for a number of reasons, the Exynos 2200 version of the phone equipped with the GPU will only be sold in the European Union, and there is no national bank version.
In terms of memory storage, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is equipped with 8/12GB LPDDR5 memory, 128/256/512 UFS 3.1 storage, of which 12GB memory version is exclusive to the Ultra model, but there is no 16GB memory version on last year's S21 Ultra.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra also features a 5000 mAh battery, supporting 45W wired fast charging, 15W Qi wireless charging, UWB ultra-wideband technology, USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 data interface, IP68 dustproof and waterproof, physical dual SIM card, reverse wireless charging and other specifications are consistent with S22+.
Galaxy Tab S8/S8+/S8 Ultra
After a year and a half, Samsung finally updated its flagship tablet, and the same as the mobile phone, the three machines are issued at the same time, the corresponding models are Galaxy Tab S8, S8+, S8 Ultra, the biggest difference is in the screen specifications.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 features an 11-inch LTPS TFT display with 2500 x 1600 resolution and 276 ppi pixel density; the Galaxy Tab S8+ features a 12.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1752 with a pixel density of 266 ppi; and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is equipped with a 14.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a 2960 x 1848 display Resolution, pixel density 240 ppi. All three models support a high 120Hz refresh rate, S Pen stylus, and a glass panel on the screen using Corning Gorilla Fifth Generation.
"Oversized cup" Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the "most beautiful boy" among the three machines, it not only has the largest screen, but also has a unique screen bangs, placing two front cameras.
In terms of performance, Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is equipped with Snapdragon 8 flagship chip, there is no Exynos 2200 chip version on the phone, Tab S8, S8+ provides 8GB RAM, 128/256GB storage, Tab S8 Ultra provides 8/12/16GB RAM, 128/256/512GB storage, support MicroSD card expansion.
