The patent document describes a Samsung smartphone with an expandable screen width that is ideal for large screens when a large screen is required, and the system interface automatically adjusts based on usage. Similar designs have appeared in the past, but the possibilities of this patented design do not stop there.
The flexible display extends from the right side of the device to the back, and in its most compact state, it can be used as a phone with dual front and rear displays.
At the same time, this design also offers a special feature that it can disconnect the screen part from the housing on the back. As a result, users can fold the display portion on the back of the fuselage to the front to create a larger screen.
