At this year's Winter Olympics, there was a young man from the Zhuolu County Education and Sports Bureau, his name was Ma Wang. Ma Wang participated in the work related to the Winter Olympics as a domestic technical officer (NTO).
In 2008, Ma Wang chose the major of physical education with his love for sports, and in the past four years, he has always been strict with himself, seriously studied professional theoretical knowledge, and became a well-rounded sports person. After graduation, he threw himself into the grassroots sports work as he wished, working steadily with a simple character and a practical style. In 2016, Ma Wang was sent to Shijiazhuang to participate in ice and snow project training, which opened the door for him to learn about ice and snow sports, and since then he has become extremely interested in ice and snow sports, often taking the initiative to participate in training at all levels, kung fu pays off, and he finally successfully passed the examination in 2020 to obtain the cross-country skiing national referee certificate.
He loves ice and snow sports, has participated in various ice and snow events for many times, and won the championship in the social B group of the curling project of the first ice and snow games in Hebei Province in 2019, in addition, he has successively served as the starting and finishing director of Zhangjiakou cross-country skate wheel (Shangyi branch), the referee of the second ice and snow sports accounting time competition in Hebei Province, the director of the board change area and relay area of the venue group of the Beijing Winter Olympic Test Match, and the domestic technical officer of the 2021/2022 International Snow Federation Ski Jumping and Nordic Biathlon Intercontinental Cup in Beijing. In December 2021, Ma Wang participated in the cross-country skiing test as an NTO, and with his deep knowledge and rich experience, he was finally selected as the Domestic Technical Officer (NTO) of the cross-country skiing program at the Beijing Winter Olympics.
At present, his main job is to arrange the tracks required for different races every day, including the placement of signs in the track, the placement of V-shaped boards on ramps, curves and straights, the layout of coaching areas and supply areas, and the duty of fixed posts. It is reported that 1/3 of the track is flat, 1/3 is uphill, 1/3 is downhill, the staff must be attached to the edge of the slope in a column to walk, because the snow trail is not allowed to leave footprints, the last person must take the tool to clean up the footprints on the slope, from every morning to return to the residence at night to summarize the meeting, Ma Wang's daily working hours are about 13 hours, and the number of steps is a very common thing.
"Participating in the Olympic Games is a dream I had since I was in college, and participating in the Winter Olympics held at my doorstep is a rare opportunity, and being able to witness this ice and snow event on the spot is an important belief in overcoming difficulties and persevering."
