According to reports, one of the highlights of this year's 4th Youth Games is that it includes baseball, golf, go-kart and other emerging sports for the first time, aiming to provide more stages for young people with different sports hobbies to show themselves and feel the joy and charm of competition.
"The school introduced baseball courses in 2014, and students usually play a dozen in school as a hobby, but this year there is such a competition, so that students who like baseball can stand out, which is of great help to their physical and mental development, and also makes them more persistent in the sports they love." It is understood that the Games is divided into three groups: high school group, junior high school group and primary school group, with a total of 23 competitions such as track and field, football, basketball, swimming and 2 exhibition competitions such as recess running and radio exercises, with the total number of projects increasing by 39% compared with the third session, and the scale and participation of the event have reached a record high.
From May to November this year, the delegations of Jiading schools will compete fiercely for the championship glory of each project for up to half a year. The district sports department said that the Youth Games is not only a concentrated display of the new achievements of school sports development in Jiading in the past five years, but also an opportunity to further promote the reform and development of school sports in the new era.
