The biathlon competition of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics will be held at the National Biathlon Center in Zhangjiakou, producing a total of 11 gold medals, namely the men's 10 km sprint, the women's 7.5 km short distance, the men's 20 km individual, the women's 15 km individual, the men's 12.5 km chase, the women's 10 km chase, the men's 15 km group departure, the women's 12.5 km collective departure, the men's 4× 7.5 km relay, the women's 4×6 km relay, and the mixed relay (women's 2× 6 km + men 2 ×7.5 km).
The Chinese team will have 4 men, 4 women and a total of 8 athletes participating in the Winter Olympics. It is worth mentioning that the Chinese biathlon team has a "trump coach" - Bjør Darren and his wife. The men's team coach, Bjør Darren, is hailed as the king of biathlons in Norway, winning all four gold medals except for the mixed relay at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics and eight Winter Olympic gold medals, 20 World Championship gold medals and 108 World Cup gold medals throughout his career.
