Guangzhou, February 9 (China News Network) -- February 9 this year marks the 138th anniversary of the birth of Lingnan School painter Chen Shuren. On the same day, the "Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Art Works Joint Exhibition" opened at the Chen Shuren Memorial Hall in Guangzhou. Painters from both sides of the Taiwan Straits, Hong Kong and Macao jointly exhibited nearly 40 Chinese paintings.

Chen Shuren is one of the founders of the Lingnan School. He graduated from the Kyoto Municipal School of Fine Arts and Crafts, the Painting Department of kyoto Art School, and the Department of Literature of Tokyo National University, and his representative works include "Lingnan Spring Color", "Red Cotton", "Dinghu Flying Waterfall" and so on.
