GAC Toyota recently announced its latest sales: 99,900 units sold in January, up 11.2% year-on-year, making a good start to the annual sales target of one million vehicles. Among them, hybrid models sold 26,499 units in January, an increase of 131% year-on-year. According to the plan, INC Toyota will fully promote the expansion of its electrification lineup in 2022.

Wen Dali, executive deputy general manager of GAC Toyota, once said that for 2025, the sales volume of GAC Toyota's hybrid products will account for more than 50%, and all products under the TNGA architecture will be hybridized.

In terms of specific models, the mid-size car Camry sold 28,023 units in January, an increase of 39.9% year-on-year, of which sales of more than 200,000 versions accounted for 59.4%, 2.5L HEV sales accounted for 54.2%, and high-end models continued to sell. The Ralink family continued to sell hotly, with sales of 19,581 units in January, up y-o-y. Flagship MPV Syna reached 5,399 units sold in January, with top-of-the-line models accounting for 40% of total sales.

In the SUV segment, the Midsize SUV Highlander sold 13,189 units in January, up 14.7% year-on-year. The Veranda family sold 17,483 units in January, up 42.5% year-on-year. In addition, the hybrid family (Leiling Dual Engine, Camry Dual Engine, Willanda Dual Engine) also maintained continuous growth, with sales reaching 26,499 units in January, an increase of 131% year-on-year.

In January this year, GAC Toyota's new compact SUV Fenglanda and medium-sized SUV based on TNGA were officially launched to achieve targeted reinforcement of the existing product matrix. And fill the price vacuum between Veranda and Highlander before, while the entry-level Fenglanda complements C-HR and brings better price/performance ratio.

The arrival of the two new SUVs has greatly enriched the coverage of GAC Toyota's products in the mainstream SUV segment.

In terms of new products, the Toyota bZ4X pure electric SUV will be put into production at GAC Toyota in 2022. The new car is the first domestic pure electric model created by the e-TNGA architecture, with a new design and a front face shape similar to Thatlanda. Powered, the new bZ4X will be available in front and rear dual-motor models.
