With the opening of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, the mascot "ice pier" has become the "top stream" of the Winter Olympic Games, which can be described as "a pier is difficult to find", and people who love but can't help but love have made their own "ice pier". On the 8th, Wang Fei, a teacher at Luoyang Vocational and Technical College and president of the Luoyang Paper-cutting Art Research Association, created and completed the paper-cut version of "Ice Pier" and "Snow Rongrong", which also incorporated Luoyang elements.
Wang Fei introduced that he chose the classic red and gold color scheme when creating. Red is the most common color for paper-cutting, symbolizing festivity and auspiciousness. In order to add layering to the work, he used illuminated paper to cut out the images of "ice piers" and "snow melting". Among them, behind the "ice pier" is a huge snowflake, and behind the "snow melting" is the peony flower that we Luoyang people are most familiar with.
"Paper-cutting pays attention to the connection of lines and lines, and when creating, in order to better highlight the cuteness and cuteness of the panda, I chose the collage method in the eye area, so the 'ice pier' is actually spelled out in several layers." Wang Fei said.
In Wang Fei's view, paper-cutting skills as intangible cultural heritage are not far from our daily lives, as long as we continue to innovate and disseminate concepts and means, traditional paper-cutting can also tide. If you haven't bought an "ice pier" yet, pick up a pair of scissors and cut one yourself. (Luo Bao Rong Media Luoyang Network reporter Guo Feifei text/photo)
