On February 7, KTM released the 2022 midweight sport street car 890 Duke R. What is different from the past is that this time, together with the overseas version, there is also the Chinese R2R version of the 890 Duke R 2022, and the KTM China site page can already see the introduction of this car:
The KTM 890 DUKE R is still faster but more dexterous, continuing all the benefits of the KTM 790 DUKE while boosting engine power by 11 kW. This motorcycle weighs moderately but is still extraordinary, it can be easily handled on both mountain roads and tracks, and the power, torque and appearance are improved compared to the previous side-by-side twin engines ... . .... ”
First released in early November 2019, KTM's mid-range sports street car, the 890 Duke R, is powered by an in-line two-cylinder] engine with a displacement of 889 cc and a maximum power output of 89 kw (approximately 121 HP). The body features a steel tube frame, WP's front and rear suspension, Brembo's braking system, and electronic equipment such as optional power delivery modes, traction control based on 6D tilt angle sensing and cornering ABS.
Compared to the previous version, the new 2022 890 Duke R has not changed in mechanical specifications, except for a similar style to the flagship sports street car 1290 Super Duke R, called Atlantic Blue "Atlantic Blue".

In terms of peak power output figures, the Chinese R2R version of the 890 Duke R 2022 is the same as the overseas version, while the price has not yet been released. In the U.S. market, where motorcycle taxes are relatively low, the new 2022 890 Duke (standard model) and 890 Duke R have also been released, but the price has not yet been announced.
Referring to the pricing of the 2021 model in the US market, the official pricing of the 2021' Duke 890 standard model in the US market is $10,999, which is only $300 more expensive than the previous 790 Duke on sale. The 890 Duke R is $11,699, which means that the 890 Duke R is about $1,000 more expensive than the standard 790 Duke model, which is recorded in the U.S. market.
In May 2019, KTM announced the sale of the 790 Duke to the domestic (mainland market), and the official price announced at that time was RMB126,800. By the spring of last year, the CKD version of the 790 Duke was released in China, and the official price announced at that time was 89,800 yuan.
