Li Yuannian was once enfeoffed at Tengzhou (present-day Tengzhou, Shandong Province) and was therefore the King of Teng, and built an attic in Tengzhou with the name "Tengwang Pavilion"

Tengwangge was named after Li Yuanbao, the younger brother of Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Yuanbao, the King of Teng. Li Yuannian was once enfeoffed in Tengzhou (present-day Tengzhou, Shandong Province) and therefore the King of Teng, and built an attic in Tengzhou with the name "Tengwang Pavilion", after which Li Yuannian, the King of Teng, was transferred to Hongzhou, Jiangnan (present-day Nanchang, Jiangxi), and the Building Pavilion was still named "Tengwang Pavilion", which was known to later people as the Tengwang Pavilion (historically, the three Tengwang Pavilions were located in Tengzhou, Shandong, Nanchang, Jiangxi, and Langzhong, Sichuan). According to research, they were all built because they missed their hometown.
