There is such an ancient painting, which is extremely valuable and has become the "treasure of the town hall" of the Yantai Museum.
Before entering this ancient picture, the first thing that catches your eye is this ancient Buddha in red, but his dress is different from ordinary Buddha statues.
Above his head, a horizontal black bun was firmly coiled, and the shape of his fingers seemed to be speaking, and the most special thing was that he actually sat on the bodies of three ghosts, and they seemed to form his throne.
If you look closely, you will also find that the lines of this painting are even more different.
The body of the entire Buddha statue is smooth, like ripples of water, and if it is not introduced by the librarian, it is difficult for ordinary people to know how it is painted.
Originally, this was the pen of Jin Nong, the head of the "Eight Monsters of Yangzhou", and as a child of a Buddhist believer, he followed his parents to major temples to worship the Buddha from an early age.
As he became more and more deeply aware of Buddhism, his paintings also shifted from flowers and birds, meilan bamboo chrysanthemums, etc. to Buddha statues.
Jinnong paints ancient Buddhas
His brushwork is different from ordinary people, good at "gossamer painting" and "golden knife drawing", which integrates the techniques of calligraphy, and each of his paintings is more like "writing".
Just like his "Ancient Buddha Map", under the depiction of traditional pen and ink, it is ancient and fantastic, complex and not chaotic.
The gossamer outline of the Buddha's body shows the folds of the robe, and creates a kind of ethereal, ascending and magical artistic conception, giving people a feeling of "the combination of movement and stillness, and the truth in the painting"; and then look at the inscriptions on both sides of the painting, the font is majestic and strong, the combination of Kaili, the style is unprecedented.
He has integrated his bumpy life into painting and writing, and the ancient and rare years are more the vicissitudes and detachments after tasting the tastes of the world. The growth of experience, the depth of academic research, and the reading of many famous deeds are all integrated into the works.

The "treasure of the town house" that is scattered everywhere
Later, the painting was passed down to a miniature architectural garden in Weifang, which was formerly the residence of a high-ranking official surnamed Hu during the Ming Dynasty.
During the Guangxu years, this garden was acquired by a "local tycoon" in Weixian County and became the mansion of the Ding family, and Ding Shanbao, who spent all the money, renovated the house and renovated it to a very luxurious one, and was also called the "Ding Family Garden".
And this painting can also be said to be the treasure of the Ding family's garden, although the family does not have much culture, but the Buddha statue is very respectful and devout, hanging it directly opposite the entrance door.
Helpless to change the world, this Ding family eventually fell in the middle of the family, and had to sell various treasures, including the "Ancient Buddha Map".
Later, the portrait was purchased by another Ding family, who was the legendary figure of Huang County, "Ding Million".
Why is he a legend? Because his family, at the height of its financial strength, acquired most of the county's land, built more than 3,000 houses, and built them very luxuriously.
The Ding family made a fortune as a pawnshop, so they had the opportunity to include this "Ancient Buddha Map".
The Ding family attaches great importance to reading, they believe that knowledge can make them officials, and being an official can bring more wealth and opportunities to their business, in case the shop is not good, they can also change careers at any time.
Due to their perennial business and strong financial resources, they operated pawnshops and money banks in more than 10 provinces and cities across the country, and it is said that their assets had reached the financial revenue of the Qing Dynasty government at that time.
As the richest man in Shandong, his descendants are of course the best and most famous mr. professors, and each of them has grown up to become a master. They all valued the cultural value and collectible value of the map, and later refused even if someone bought it back at a higher price.
And this painting is just one of the many treasures collected by their pawnshop, and there are many valuable calligraphy and paintings and antiques.
Artifacts that were almost burned
On the eve of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the agrarian revolution was raging, and the fiery campaign of "cracking down on local tycoons and dividing up the land" was being carried out throughout the country. It also includes the Jiaodong area.
With the financial resources of the Ding family at that time, even if it was not as good as the most prosperous period of the Qing Dynasty, "the skinny camel was bigger than the horse", which of course became a "thorn in the eye" of the people.
Therefore, the richest man in Shandong was not spared the fate of being "beaten into trenches and divided into land", and the sound of leaking wind in advance was known to Ding Million, so he ran away overnight with valuable belongings.
There are still many heavy and untouchable possessions, so they can only be discarded like brooms.
A long-term worker of the Ding family came to work, found that his master ran away with the property, and did not leave him this month's wages, very angry, so he went back to complain to his wife.
His wife instructed him to say, "Since people have also run away, the money cannot be returned, and the future rice bowl has been lost, are you just going to give up like this?"
Others are dividing up property, why don't you take something valuable, come back and sell it is also money!"
He slipped away and ran to the Ding family to pick up the leaks, thinking: "Although the owner of the Ding family treats me well on weekdays, I have no reason to take other people's things, but now he has also run away, and if he doesn't take it white, it will eventually fall into the hands of others."
However, this honest man went late, and as soon as he entered the house, everyone else had already divided up the remaining property of the Ding family.
He was so frightened that if he went back empty-handed, he would be scolded by his wife for being a dog and bloody head, so he went back to the firewood room where he worked and sat down to think about how to solve it.
At this time, he suddenly found two bundles of calligraphy and paintings on the ground, and he was very happy, thinking that he could make a difference with these!
Unexpectedly, when I entered the house, I was scolded again: "You fool, everyone else takes antiques, what do you do with this broken calligraphy painting?" Can this sell for money? You can take a pot and pan better than this! ”
He was also angry, so he said, "I can use these as firewood, and I can use them for fire!" ”

More than a decade later, the paintings still lay quietly in the attic of his house, until 1963, when a middle-aged man with a museum work permit knocked on his door.
It turned out to be the staff of the Yantai Museum, who came to know from the local residents whether there were any cultural relics that could be handed over to the state for safekeeping.
