Top 2% in the world! A number of scholars from Jiangnan University were selected!

The list of the world's top 2% scientists is divided into a "career impact" list (which focuses on the impact of the entire academic career to date) and a "annual influence" list (which focuses on the academic achievements of the year). By counting the number of papers published by scientists around the world and the number of citations, and using six indicators to model a comprehensive score, the 217098 people around the world are selected, roughly covering the top 2% of scientists in each discipline. Among them, 10,687 scientists from Chinese mainland were selected, accounting for 4.92%.

The list is the result of a project by the team of Professor John P.A. Ioannidis of Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier. Based on the analysis of citation data from the Scopus database, the list selects the world's top 2% of scientists from among global scientists based on six comprehensive indicators such as cited number (distinguishing between self-cited and other citations), H-index, and HM factor, covering 22 fields and 176 sub-fields. The list provides a measure of scientists' long-term scientific research performance, which objectively and truly reflects the academic influence of scientists.

Outstanding!

Kudos to them!
