Tengwang Li Yuanniang's painting of butterflies is more famous, and Chen Wenzhan of the Ming Dynasty wrote in the "Re-repair of the Tengwang Pavilion" that "(Li Yuannian) Gong calligraphy and painting, Miaoyin Rhythm, Happy Butterfly, Xuanfangzhu Tour, Riding on the Green Sparrow, jiting Xie Song and Dance grand." ”

In the first year of Emperor Gaozong's reign (679), Li Yuannian was transferred to Longzhou, far away from Emperor Tiangao, to do the history of assassination, Li Yuannian still did not change his nature, and because he was far away from the emperor, Li Yuannian built a large-scale palace in Longzhou according to the pattern of the palace garden, on the yutai mountainside on the banks of the Jialing River, and the Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu wrote a poem "Tengwang Pavilion" in this Tengwang Pavilion.
Li Yuannian stayed in the Tengwang Pavilion in Longzhou happily, wanting something or anything, and did not have to worry about the emperor knowing his movements, so happy that he forgot to return to Chang'an, but Tang Gaozong and the hundred officials of the Tang court were no longer willing to say anything about Li Yuanbao, and later Li Yuannian died in Longzhou.
