The National Ski Jumping Center is the most engineering and technically difficult competition venue in the Zhangjiakou area of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and is named "Snow Ruyi" because of its shape like a traditional Chinese ornament Ruyi.
As the "star" venue of the Beijing Winter Olympics, "Xue Ruyi" has the longest ski jumping track in the world, with a large cantilevered building in the top departure area, and the slide is divided into HS140 big jump platform and HS106 standard jump platform, with a drop of about 136 meters and 115 meters respectively. When the Snow Trapezers participate in the race, they will slide down from the top of the "Snow Ruyi" jump platform equivalent to 40 stories high.
It is the first ski jumping venue in China to meet international standards, and will host ski jumping and Nordic biathlon 2 sub-events and 8 sub-events during the Winter Olympics.
In May 2018, the construction of "Snow Ruyi" began. In June 2020, "Xue Ruyi" completed the unloading of the steel structure and passed the acceptance of the International Snow Federation in November of that year. There is no exact record of the specific dating of the Kangbao Overlord Whip on the dam. The "Overlord Whip" has twenty kinds of playing styles, divided into three ways: upper, middle and lower. Today, the dance form of "Overlord Whip" has been passed down in folk folklore activities and has now become one of the representative intangible cultural heritages of the locality.
