The Winter Olympics, the National Ski Jumping Center in Zhangjiakou, will undertake the Ski Jumping and Nordic Biathlon competitions at the Beijing Winter Olympics. The National Ski Jumping Center is the first ski jumping venue in mainland China that meets international standards, and it is also the competition venue with the largest amount of engineering and the highest technical difficulty in the construction of the Winter Olympic venue group in Zhangjiakou Competition Area. The jumping table section is figuratively called "Snow Ruyi" because it fits the S-shaped curve of the traditional Chinese mascot "Ruyi".

Li Shousheng, a post-80s miniature model maker from Jinan, Shandong Province, noticed the unique shape of "Xue Ruyi" and decided to make a miniature model of the National Ski Jumping Center, "As a miniature model craftsman, I want to help the Beijing Winter Olympics and cheer for the Olympic athletes by making models." ”

Among the many Olympic venues, Li Shousheng believes that the "Ruyi" shape of the National Ski Jumping Center is unique and rich in Chinese color, "Ruyi is an auspicious symbol, it can bring us good luck, and ruyi's shape is very beautiful, very suitable for showing with a miniature model, so he chose to make a miniature 'Snow Ruyi'." ”

The Beiqing Daily reporter noticed that the miniature model of "Snow Ruyi" made by Li Shousheng was very exquisite, and a ruyi shape and other jumping platforms in the snow rose from the ground, restoring the scene of athletes jumping on the platform. "This miniature model is made according to 1 to 600, and the difficulty in making it is ruyi modeling to express the surface with cardboard, which requires careful mastery of the curve trend."

Li Shousheng said that the "Snow Ruyi" model took half a month to make, and now the model is displayed in the studio.

"I studied stage art in college, and when I was exposed to miniatures, I fell in love with the job." In the past 10 years, Li Shousheng has paid attention to Chinese culture and produced 500 to 600 models with Chinese characteristics, such as cave dwellings in Shaanxi and private houses in rural areas, large-scale works are more than 20 square meters in size, and the smallest works are only the size of palms.

Li Shousheng said that in the future, he will also tell Chinese stories by making miniature models and inherit cultural characteristics.
