Slovenian athletes won gold and bronze medals in women's individual standard ski jumping

Zhangjiakou, 6 Feb (China News Network) -- On the evening of 5 February, the first gold of the National Ski Jumping Center "Snow Ruyi", a landmark venue in the Zhangjiakou area of the Beijing Olympic Games, was born. In the women's individual standard table competition of ski jumping at the Beijing Winter Olympics, two Slovenian athletes won gold and bronze as the winners.

On February 5, the Women's Individual Standard Ski Jumping Competition at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics was held at the National Ski Jumping Center, and Slovenia's Ursa Bogataj won the championship with a total score of 239, which was the first gold medal at the National Ski Jumping Center of the Beijing Winter Olympics. On the same day, Slovenia's Bogataj won the championship with a total score of 239 points, Germany's Althaus won the silver medal, and another Slovenian player Kriznaar won the bronze medal. Before the race, Pyeongchang Winter Olympics third place and Japanese ski jumper Takanashi Saro lost the medal with a fourth place.

At the post-match press conference, the two winning girls in Slovenia seemed very happy and laughed out loud many times when answering questions. Bogatay says he's smiling every second of the day and feels a bit like a dream, but it all comes true.

In the day's competition, Dong Bing and Peng Qingyue, newcomers to the Winter Olympics of the Chinese Ski Jumping Team, received media attention. Among them, 17-year-old Peng Qingyue is the youngest athlete in the Chinese Winter Olympic team. In the first round of the competition, Peng Qingyue and Dong Bing ranked 38th and 31st respectively, and they could advance to the final round of the showdown without making it to the top 30. (End)
