Located in the ancient poplar tree complex in Chongli District, Zhangjiakou City, "Snow Ruyi", which undertook the ski jumping and Nordic competitions at the Winter Olympic Games, is the first ski jumping venue in the mainland, the largest engineering and technically difficult competition venue in Zhangjiakou Area, and the largest ski jumping venue in the world today. Zhang Li repeatedly thought when designing that "human factors" can not only consider the "superman" of training and competition, but also consider ordinary people. Zhang Li said: "Judging from the past five or six Winter Olympics, ski jumping venues are notoriously poor post-race use, and such venues cannot be approached by normal people. We have to copy the way ordinary people use it, 'roaming' or 'sharing', onto 'Snow Ruyi'. On the middle side of 'Ruyi', except for the windproof, we did a thing that the International Snow Federation had never done before, and made 4 steps about 75 cm wide, and people could always walk along the slide. ”
How can the National Ski Jumping Center be used for a long time? "Snow Ruyi" in the design is different from the conventional platform venue only pay attention to the construction of the competition area, it is composed of the summit club, the competition area (starting area, slide area), the grandstand three parts, corresponding to the "Ruyi" handle head, handle body, handle tail. Zhang Li introduced: "Later, we formed a few things in our minds that must be done - we must let people stick to the slide, because once we stick to it, see all these details, people feel that this venue does not have such a big sense of distance from me; it must be that people have a particularly good activity space on it, and they can tell stories in the future; there must be a standard stadium at the bottom that can do a variety of activities aside from the jumping game." Zhang Li told reporters that when he discussed the design of "Snow Ruyi" with officials of the International Snow Federation, there were often times when the other party was surprised. Wang Jingxian also had the experience of disagreeing with the International Snow Federation. Wang Jingxian said: "In the early stage of venue planning, we had the attitude of being responsible for the venue and did not want the venue to take only 16 days. The design of the underground rail cable car was also controversial with the International Snow Federation at that time, because from the perspective of the competition, they preferred to make a 'hanging rail' type cable car, sitting on a small chair, looping up the mountain mode, this cable car is very beneficial for the competition, but for the sustainable use of the post-race heritage is a big flaw, because many older people or children, even disabled people in wheelchairs, if you take the 'hanging rail' type cable car, there will be a lot of inconvenience. After a lot of consultation and communication with the competition team, we finally chose the elevator with car-style cable car form, which greatly improved the convenience of post-race use. ”

Liu Xinghua revealed: "'Snow Ruyi' is actually planning multi-format operation to achieve the four-season operation of the venue. For example, the Summit Club, which has 4100 square meters of indoor space, is actively cooperating with the e-sports industry, planning some high-end conferences and exhibitions after the game, and also plans to build the Winter Olympic Museum of the venue itself and open some AR/VR experience halls; the end area is the grandstand, the middle field is as large as the standard football field, and there are thousands of grandstand seats on both sides, which can carry out some cultural, tourism, leisure, commercial activities, including concerts, concerts, youth summer camps, etc., which is a full-time and all-season tourist resort. ”
