After a total of 7 trainings for ski jumping and nordic domestic technical officials in 4 years and 7 times by the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, as well as the selection of the State General Administration of Sport and the Organizing Committee of the Winter Olympics, Li Ji, a member of the Jiusan Society and the School of Competitive Sports of Beijing Sport University, was selected as the domestic technical official of the Beijing Winter Olympics as a referee for the ski jumping project. Together with other referees, he successfully completed 25 official training sessions and 10 official matches.

The ski jumping competition of the Beijing Winter Olympics was held in the beautiful and flowing "Snow Ruyi" venue, and Mr. Li undertook the distance measurement and refereeing work of the ski jumping project. According to the schedule of the Winter Olympic Games, before the Spring Festival on January 21, the judges arrived at the Zhangjiakou competition area to report and immediately put into intense pre-competition preparations, including surveying the venue, proofreading and measuring distances, watching videos about the competition, and participating in business learning.

The official competition dates are from February 3 to February 17 for a total of 15 days. The schedule of the competition is basically the official training during the day and the official competition in the evening. The average daily temperature at the venue is around minus 20 degrees, sometimes even lower, with up to 6-7 hours of training and competition per day. Teacher Li and the members of the referee team wore heavy cotton clothes and snow boots, climbed more than 100 meters high stairs, overcame difficulties such as cold weather and limited mobility, and kept sticking to the side of the jumping track. In the game, they need to be highly concentrated in their thinking, lock their eyes in time, and be able to report the landing point position in a timely and accurate manner when all the athletes fly and land, and there can be no slack and slackness.
