According to Tom's Hardware, Huirong and its partners will release an audiophile-grade SSD based on the SM2508 controller at the end of this year, which uses the latest PCIe 5.0 x4 interface and provides speeds of about 13GB/s. In addition, Huirong is now developing the SM2507 controller, which will be oriented to mainstream PCs, support PCIe 5.0 interface, and suitable for notebooks. In 2024, the Master Control Council plans to commercialize it.

However, while consumer PCIe 5.0 SSD products will be available by the end of the year, applications to mainstream large PC OEM platforms will not be available until 2024. We will continue to pay attention to the situation after that.
