The Intel EVO 3.0 specification will use The Sharp Display as a basic requirement, and the first EVO-certified games on the market will offer A350M and A370M options. PCMag tested the MSI Summit E16 Flip Evo laptop with the Arc A370M and believed that the A370M had the strength to compete with the RTX 3050.
The A370M has 8 Xe cores with 4GB of GDDR6 memory and ADP of 35-50 watts. In the 3DMark TimeSpy test, the A370M scored 4405 points, above the same level as the 35W version of the RTX 3050 in the Asus Vivobook Pro 15 OLED.
Game tests included Final Fantasy XIV: Dawn's End, Tomb Raider: Shadow, and Subway: Depart, with the MSI Summit E16 Flip Evo performance on the Sharp A370M and the HP Spectre x360 16 (powered by the RTX 3050) also a flip.
In the Topaz Video Enhanced AI video amplification test, the Ruixuan A370M solo display can work with the Ruiju nuclear display to save video conversion time, surpassing the RTX 3050 in efficiency.
In addition to the ARC 3 series, laptops with ARC A550M, ARC A730M and ARC A770M mobile display will also be available later.
Western Digital HDD/SSD New Product Release:
During the What's Next event, Western Digital unveiled a number of new storage products, including a mechanical hard drive with a maximum capacity of 26TB, a faster SN850X flagship PCIe 4.0 SSD, a P40 RGB mobile SSD, an SN740 PCIe 4.0 SSD (OEM), and a SanDisk PRO-BLADE portfolio.
The Western UltraStar DC HC570 uses CMR technology to achieve capacity gains primarily by increasing to 10 platters. The UltraStar DC H670 uses host-managed UltraSMR technology to increase the storage capacity of a single disc to 2.6TB.
OptiNAND-ArmorCache enhances the random read and write performance of the drive with the UFS flash memory that comes with the drive.
The Western Digital Black Disk SN850X is based on the SN850 update BiCS5 flash memory, which can provide faster sequential read speed of 7300MB/s, and support the new Game Mode 2.0 function, further improving the storage performance of game PCs. It is worth mentioning that WD also announced a partnership with AMD to "optimize CPU and GPU latency with the latest PCIe and memory technologies", which seems to allude to AMD's upcoming Smart Access Storage technology.
The Western Digital Black Disk P40 Mobile SSD uses a USB3.2 Gen 2x2 (20Gbps) high-speed transmission interface and adds RGB lighting capabilities to provide 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacity options.
SanDisk, a subsidiary of Western Digital, brings the PRO-BLADE modular SSD ecosystem for professional storage applications.
The PRO-BLADE SSD Mag features a compact aluminium housing and 40-pin custom connectors that support 3000MB reading speeds with drop resistance up to 3 meters.
PRO-BLADE TRANSPORT is a mobile SSD that uses a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface, and has an SSD Mag interface, but the transfer speed can only reach 2000MB/s of the upper limit of the USB3.2 Gen 2x2 interface, and it does not have a drop-proof function.
Both SSD Mag and TRANSIT can be installed in the PRO-BLADE STATION, which can simultaneously install four enclosures and provide them with active thermal assistance, connecting to the computer via thunderbolt 3 interface.
This modular storage device is certainly expensive, and they are aimed at professional photographers, studios and other groups to replace bulky and slow mechanical hard disk storage systems.
