Western Digital Releases SN770: DrAM-free Design Writes 4900MBs

On February 3, the core research institute announced that Xishu released the main cost-effective PCIe 4.0 SSD product - SN770. The SN770 uses the same DRAM-free design as the SN750 SE, but the speed is much higher than the latter, with a maximum sequential read speed of 5300MB/s and a write speed of 4900MB/s. The latter only has the latter continuous reading and writing up to 3470MB/s and 3000GB/s, respectively.

Although there is no DRAM cache, the SN770's 4K random read and write speed is as high as 800K IOPS and 740K IOPS, making it one of the fastest DRAM-free SSD products on the market.

The SN770 offers a total of 250GB to 2TB of capacity options, including $59.99 for 250GB, $79.99 for 500GB, $129.99 for 1TB, and $269.99 for 2TB. Compared to the SN850, the 1TB version is $30 cheaper, and the 2TB version is $50 cheaper. In terms of durability, WDsoft provides a 5-year warranty for the SN770, supporting 0.33 full writes per day. The 250GB version has a write life of 200TBW, 500GB is 300TBW, 1TB is 600TBW, and 2TB is 1200TBW.
