The $7 heater is helping American wanderers fend off the winter!
Foreign media reported on January 1, 2022. An estimated 226,000 people are "homeless" or "homeless" on any other night in the United States, meaning they sleep in cars, tents, abandoned buildings, or elsewhere outside their homes or shelters.

Members of HeaterBloc designed a tent-safe DIY heater to replace the temporary fire. They then shared online how-to guides for making these devices so people elsewhere could build heaters and distribute them to locals who didn't have shelter.
The price of parts per DIY heater is about $7. A 6-8 ounce can of isopropanol burns for about 5 to 6 hours and costs less than $1.
