Recently, Jiangsu Kowloon Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products. Decided to recall all 2017 EF5 pure electric passenger cars produced between June 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017, with a total of 153 units, effective immediately.
The left and right output flanges of the main reducer of the vehicle within the scope of this recall are concentrated due to the unreasonable angle of the knife retract. Under extreme working conditions, the left and right output flanges of the main reducer may break, resulting in power interruption during vehicle driving, and there is a safety hazard.
The recall was carried out in the context of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) initiating a defect investigation. Affected by the investigation, Jiangsu Kowloon Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. decided to take recall measures to replace the improved main reducer flange for the vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.

Recently, China FAW Group Co., Ltd. entrusted FAW Besturn Car Co., Ltd. to file a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products. Decided to recall 5,280 2019 Besturn B30 EV400 vehicles produced between December 13, 2019 and March 19, 2020, effective June 27, 2022.
The vehicle's electronic vacuum pumps covered by this recall are manufactured with defects that could cause damage to their internal blades and stalls, resulting in no vacuum replenishment of the brake assist system. Vehicles may lose brake power during normal driving, and in extreme cases, there is a risk of accidents in the vehicle, and there are potential safety hazards.
FAW Besturn Car Co., Ltd. will replace the electronic vacuum pump for vehicles covered by the recall to eliminate safety hazards.
