Bentley plans to invest $3.4 billion in layout transformation The first electric model will be launched in 2025

Luxury automaker Bentley recently announced plans to invest about $3.4 billion over the next decade to lay out the electrification transition and promise to become an all-electric brand by 2030.

Bentley CEO Adrian Hallmark said the first Bentley electric car will be developed and manufactured at its headquarters in Crewe, UK, with plans to launch in 2025.

Bentley introduced the company's first hybrid model last year, a plug-in hybrid version of the Bentayga. This is the company's first step into electrification. Sales of this model grew from zero to 20% of the Bentayga series in a year. In 2022, Bentley will also continue to launch the Flying Spur Plug-in Hybrid as a further transition to an all-electric future.

In 2020, Bentley launched the "Beyond100" sustainable business strategy. In 2021, Bentley's full-year sales increased by 31% year-on-year, a record high. Hallmark believes this means that consumers also have a high degree of enthusiasm for Bentley's business strategy.
