The Central Meteorological Observatory issued a blizzard yellow warning at 06:00 on January 27:
It is expected that from 08:00 on January 27 to 08:00 on January 28, there will be heavy to heavy snowstorms in parts of eastern Tibet, southeastern Gansu, south-central Shaanxi, western Henan, most of Hubei, northern Hunan and central Anhui, of which there will be heavy blizzards (20-22 mm) in southwestern Hubei. In some of the above areas, the depth of snow has increased by 4 to 8 centimeters, and the local area can reach more than 10 centimeters.

Defensive guidance:
1. The government and relevant departments shall do a good job in emergency work to prevent snow disasters and frost damage in accordance with their duties;
2. Departments such as transportation, railways, electric power, and communications shall strengthen the inspection and maintenance of roads, railways, and lines, and do a good job of road cleaning and snow melting;
3. Reduce unnecessary outdoor activities;
4. Reinforce temporary structures such as trellises that are easily crushed by snow, and drive outdoor livestock into the pen for feeding.
