The new Cadillac XT4 has not changed in shape, and is still an angular and diamond-cut sculptural body line, with a compact body shape and a sports car's visually pleasing ultra-wide front and rear wheelbase with a short and pithy visual effect. Based on the original 2.0T variable cylinder turbocharged engine, the vehicle is equipped with a 48V light hybrid system as standard, matching the 9-speed automatic transmission. This power system has been applied in many models of SAIC-GM, and the light hybrid system composed of a 48V motor, a 48V battery, a current transformer module and a hybrid control unit can achieve more agile start-stop, electric assist, electric idle, brake energy recovery, intelligent charging and other power assistance functions, bringing a lighter, quieter and smoother driving experience. Thanks to the 48V mild blend technology, the fuel consumption of this new XT4 can be reduced by 5-6%. The abrupt jitter that used to work on the start-stop system has now been largely resolved. In addition, the Cadillac XT4 is also equipped with the Twin-clutch dual-clutch intelligent timely four-wheel drive system of the Cadillac SUV family, which can intelligently achieve active torque control, and with the independent suspension of the rear five linkages, it provides a more passionate handling experience. The vehicle also offers a variety of driving modes to cope with a variety of complex road conditions.
In addition to upgrading the 48V light hybrid system in the whole series of power, the vehicle connection system has also become the focus of the new XT4 upgrade. Relying on SAIC-GM's Vehicle Networking strategy, the new XT4 is equipped with a new generation of Cadillac mobile Internet experience CUE that can realize the OTA intelligent cloud update, iteratively upgraded Baidu's intelligent voice interconnection interactive system, vehicle-machine interactive interface and vehicle applications, and further optimized the functions of in-vehicle intelligent navigation and smart home scene mode. Many third-party applications from within the Baidu ecosystem can further enhance the convenience of users when traveling, and entertainment resources are more abundant and comprehensive. Although the configuration of the inner room layout and the 8-inch central control screen is the same as that of the old model, it will bring a smarter and more convenient human-computer interaction experience with the CUE car connection system, wireless Apple CarPlay, Baidu CarLife mobile phone mapping, 4G LTE mobile Wi-Fi hotspot function and many other technology applications.
In terms of safety, the new XT4 has an ESS intelligent guardian safety system and a BFI integrated high-strength body structure, which provides meticulous safety for all vehicle personnel. The patented Haptic safety alert vibrating seat, as well as the full-color HUD flight indicator, further ensure driving safety. Deluxe and Premium have added a wealth of active and passive safety assistance functions such as forward collision warning, low-speed automatic braking, lane departure warning, lane change blind area assistance, side blind spot warning, etc., which comprehensively improve the driving safety of the XT4.
