For the first time, the Bonsai Exhibition exhibits rare kapok bonsai
Also on display at the same time as the fine art exhibition is the "'Bay Yi Man Tang' Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Bonsai Fine Exhibition". The award-winning bonsai of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was exhibited for the first time in the History Exhibition Hall of the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, and the rare Kapok bonsai will bring a unique Lingnan cultural and artistic enjoyment to the public and tourists.
Particularly striking is the work "Spring Colors of the Mountains and Forests" in the form of elm trees and stones. The work won the gold medal in the 2020 Shenzhen Greater Bay Area Bonsai Competition and the gold medal at the 2nd National Youth Creative Bonsai Exhibition in Linyi, Shandong.
The work uses tree trunks to walk around the stones, in one go, growing branches on the original trunks of trees, planting trees, staggering high and low, gathering and dispersing decently, just like the beautiful forest scenery of the strange peaks and mountains, picturesque, a scene full of spring.
