Mr. Zhang said that this morning he suddenly found that the particle trap icon in the upper left corner of the vehicle's dashboard lit up. Mr. Zhang then found out that this indicated that the vehicle's particle trap had become clogged.
According to his understanding, the new generation of Elantra 1.4T models launched in October 2020 have been equipped with particle traps to cope with stricter emission standards. And his Elantra 2021 240TGDi DCT TOP flagship was purchased in January 2021. But at present, Beijing Hyundai has not yet introduced relevant solutions. The only effective way to solve this problem is to regularly pull the speed and burn away the excess particles by raising the exhaust problem to achieve the purpose of particle trap cleaning.
Mr. Zhang also said that the problem of clogging the particle trap was just one of the problems with the Elantra. In the past year since he picked up the car, his Elantra has had many problems.
The new car was distorted in less than a month.
This is the first problem that Mr. Zhang encountered after buying a car.
Judging from the pictures he provided, there were obvious stitching marks during the image synthesis of the reversing image, and the image content was seriously deformed. At a time when digitization and intelligence are highly developed, Elantra's image performance is slightly amateurish. In particular, he was surprised that the newly tipped car appeared such an embarrassment in just a few days.
And what made him cry and laugh even more was still behind.
After the problem, Mr. Zhang went to the store for repairs, but the 4S shop could not be adjusted for half a day. Seeing that Mr. Zhang was so insistent, the maintenance staff of the 4S shop helplessly said that the reversing image of Elantra had similar problems, and let Mr. Zhang see the exhibition car in the store, and indeed there was this problem.
In the end, Mr. Zhang reluctantly accepted.
Run high-speed steering stuck
Half a year later, Mr. Zhang's Elantra had a second problem.
According to Mr. Zhang, when the new car was seven months old, once it was driving on the highway, the steering wheel was stuck. If you keep the steering wheel back in its right state, it will remain motionless for a while as if it were stuck with glue, and it takes a certain amount of force to correct the steering wheel.
He said that it is not excluded that this is the original factory setting problem of the manufacturer, but if it encounters an unexpected situation, such a direction jam phenomenon will inevitably have certain security risks.
Lane keeping assist does not go in a straight line
This is another embarrassment that Mr. Zhang encountered on the highway in addition to the steering jam.
"When driving on high speed, the vehicle slowly approaches the right lane for a while, and when it is fast pressing to the lane line, it will slowly approach the left lane, but it can ensure that the vehicle will not press over the lane." That's what he said.
He was interesting, of course, he knew that there was a problem with the vehicle: although the Elantra was equipped with driver assistance functions, it was still a certain distance from the current leading level in terms of detection perception, algorithms and system calibration.
Mr. Zhang finally said that the biggest impact on him is still the particle trap problem.
He is an old driver and does not have many opportunities to use reversing images. Moreover, the problem of steering jams had little impact on his driving. Lane keeping experience is not good, big deal don't use it. The problem of particle trapper blockage is more troublesome for him, requiring him to pull the speed regularly, which not only consumes time and economic costs, but also affects normal life.
He hoped that Beijing Hyundai would come up with a solution to the problem as soon as possible.
