Pang Xinghuo introduced that as of now, the laboratory of the Beijing Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention has completed the whole genome sequencing of 28 infected people, and the results show that they all belong to the Delta strain (AY.30 evolutionary branch) and are the same transmission chain. Whole genome sequencing of frozen goods and environmentally positive specimens in epidemic-related cold storage was carried out, and the analysis results were completely consistent with the viral sequence of some early infected people in this round of epidemic.

Pang Xinghuo introduced that at present, the epidemic situation associated with the Omikerong variant is generally stable, there were no new cases yesterday, and the epidemic situation has been basically controlled. The current source of the epidemic related to the Delta variant strain is clear, the transmission chain is basically clear, the cases have been found to be directly or indirectly related to cold chain items or related practitioners, the epidemic is centered on the cold storage of fruit in Yuquanying, Fengtai District, the cold storage in the southwest suburbs and the cold storage of the Baihuafeng production base in Changyang, Fangshan District, and gradually spread to the community and work units, and there are recurrent cases in families, communities and work units, but the follow-up cases are from the controlled population, and the risk of further transmission is basically controllable.
