Positive specimens of the virus in the frozen goods involved in the epidemic in Beijing are consistent with the virus sequence of the early infected people in this round

On January 24, at the 274th press conference on the prevention and control of the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic in Beijing, Pang Xinghuo, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention and a member of the national new coronavirus pneumonia expert group, introduced that the Beijing Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention conducted a whole genome sequencing analysis of frozen goods and environmental positive specimens in the epidemic-related cold storage, and the analysis results were completely consistent with the virus series of some early infected people in this round of epidemic. Pang Xinghuo introduced that from 16:00 on January 23 to 16:00 on January 24, there were 9 new cases of local new coronavirus infection in Beijing, of which 7 were confirmed cases and 2 were asymptomatic infected. There were no new infections associated with the Omikejong strain.

Since January 15, Beijing has reported a total of 52 local cases of new crown pneumonia, of which 6 cases have been reported in the cumulative number of cases associated with the Aomi Kerong variant, all of which are confirmed cases, all of which are mild; the cumulative number of reported cases and 35 confirmed cases of the Delta variant related to the epidemic, including 26 cases of mild, 9 cases of ordinary type, and 11 cases of asymptomatic infection. Up to now, the laboratory of Beijing Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention has completed the whole genome sequencing of 28 infected people, and the results show that they all belong to the AY.30 evolutionary branch of Delta variant strain, which is the same transmission chain; the whole genome sequencing analysis of frozen goods and environmental positive specimens in the cold storage of the epidemic has been carried out, and the analysis results are completely consistent with the virus series of some early infected people in this round of epidemic.
