On January 21, at the press conference of the city's "unimpeded project" held by the Foshan Municipal Government, Yang Liangyi, deputy director of the Foshan Rail Transit Bureau, said.

At the beginning of 2022, the completion acceptance meeting of the Shunde section of the western extension of Guangzhou Metro Line 7 organized by Shunguang Company was held, and the completion acceptance was successfully passed. In the next step, Shunguang Company will work together with all participating units to make every effort to prepare for the initial operation safety assessment of the Shunde section of the western extension of Guangzhou Metro Line 7.

The congestion index in the central urban area has dropped significantly

According to reports, in 2021, in accordance with the "Foshan City Urban "Unimpeded Project" Two-Year Action Plan" provisions of the annual five major system projects have been successfully completed.

In accordance with the governance method of "one block, one plan", Foshan has formulated "short, flat and fast" improvement measures, and carried out refined treatment of 96 traffic congestion nodes, road sections and areas. In addition to the opening of Foshan Metro Line 2, the opening of the entire line of the Fanhai Bridge has strengthened the connection between Foshan's central urban area and Guangzhou South Railway Station, providing a strong foundation for the development of the Sanlong Bay area; the full line of the Foshan section of the Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaozhou Expressway has become an important channel connecting Foshan to Guangzhou and Zhaoqing.

In addition, it has also accelerated the preliminary work of external corridors such as the Guangzhou-Foshan Shinkansen High Expressway Project and the Zhongshan Eastern Outer Ring Expressway North Extension Line, and promoted the construction of external connection channels between Foshan and Guangzhou, Zhongshan and Shenzhen.

2022 is a key year for foshan's two-year action of "unimpeded project".

According to the information at the press conference, Foshan plans to open 36 internal "broken roads" in 2022, carry out comprehensive treatment of 105 congestion points and hot spots such as schools and hospitals in the central urban area, build 67,200 square meters of new bus stations, 4 bus priority crossings, build and upgrade 900 kilometers of bicycle lanes, accelerate the construction of rail transit projects such as Metro Line 3, Line 4 Phase I, And Lishui Tram, and ensure that 75% of all districts are built by the end of 2022.
