At the event, Shanghai Yangpu Changbaiyinfeng Community commended the volunteers who provided quality services to the elderly in the past year. Volunteer Bao Xinling from Changhai Road Street and Yao Yuhong, a volunteer from Changbai Xincun Street, won the title of Outstanding Volunteer of the 2021 Old Partner Program. The reporter learned that Aunt Bao has been a volunteer of the old partner program for 10 years, and Aunt Yao has also insisted on it for several years.
Resident Chen Laobo is one of the elderly people that Aunt Bao has been caring for and serving, because Ofe Chen's legs and feet are inconvenient, Aunt Bao will help Lao Bo Chen make a delicious meal every time she visits her home. Aunt Bao said that she likes to talk to the elderly, and through communication, she can let some elderly people put down their ideological baggage and easily enjoy the old-age life.
Among the elderly people that Aunt Yao has helped in recent years, she is most impressed by Aunt Sun, who loves to sing Yue opera. Aunt Sun was reluctant to contact the community and shut herself in her home all day. In order to open Aunt Sun's heart, Aunt Yao started from Yue opera and accompanied Aunt Sun to sing Yue opera, but she did not expect that the effect was very obvious, and also made them the best friends. Aunt Yao said that volunteering is to have love, care and sincerity, so as to make the elderly happy.
While helping the elderly in the community, these old partner program volunteers have also gained respect and praise from the community, and through volunteer service, they have gained a full sense of belonging. Aunt Liu Ronglan, a volunteer of the Old Partner Program, said that since she retired, she has been volunteering for the Old Partner Program and has always felt very happy and feels that she still has a sense of existence.
In addition to thanking the volunteers who have worked hard for a whole year, the Changyinfeng Community Service Center for the Elderly will also cooperate with the Shanghai Dongchang Red Flag Experience Center in the new year to provide financial and service support for the volunteers of the Old Partner Program and the caring elderly, and help the paired elderly to provide higher quality home care.
Wang Ying, head of the Changyinfeng Community Service Center for the Elderly, said that he will do everything possible to build a platform for the elderly from all walks of life to care for the elderly, provide diversified services for the elderly, and let the elderly be comfortable.
