In his speech in 1969, Nixon made it clear that he was eager to talk to China, and then arranged for Kissinger and others to communicate with China.
It was because of Nixon's series of operations that Chiang Kai-shek was extremely angry. Not long after the Zhenbao Island incident broke out, what was unexpected was that the United States immediately seized this opportunity to communicate with Chinese mainland.
