Feed price rise is an important factor affecting the income of farmers, in order to avoid market risks, lock in the expected returns, insurance companies in accordance with the feed cost of unit broilers, negotiate with farmers to determine the target price of corn, soybean meal and other bulk raw materials, and hedge risks in the futures market through futures companies. If the actual price of feed is higher than the target price, farmers can receive insurance compensation according to the difference.

In December 2021, Guangdong PICC provided a chicken feed price risk guarantee of 60 million yuan for more than 5 million broiler chickens of an agricultural and animal husbandry co., LTD. in Huizhou, effectively resolving the market risk of farmers climbing due to the rise in chicken feed prices, that is, stabilizing their "money bags".
