According to data provided by Indonesian company Jala Tech, prices at the spearhead Penaeus vannamei farms in Indonesia's main farming regions of Java and West Nusa Tenggara continued to rise in the second week of 2022.
West Java
The data shows that shrimp prices in West Java, the country's largest shrimp-producing province, rose to IDR 96,000 per kg for 30 shrimp, IDR 85,500 per kg for 40 shrimp, and the prices for 60, 80 and 100 were the same, rising to IDR 67,500/kg, IDR 56,500/kg and IDR 50,333.33/kg respectively in the second week.
The price for 30 and 40 sticks is $6.71/kg and $5.98/kg, respectively; 60 sticks are $4.72/kg; 80 and 100 are $3.95/kg and $3.52/kg, respectively.
West Nusa Tenggara
Prices in West Nusa Tenggara, the second largest producer, followed the same trend, with prices for 30 and 40 shrimp falling to IDR 94,000 and IDR 84,000/kg respectively, 60 shrimp at IDR 65,000/kg, and 80 and 100 counted shrimp at IDR 59,000 and IDR 47,000/kg.
East And Middle Java
In addition, prices in East and Central Java have seen the same trend, with prices falling to IDR 96,000/kg and IDR 96,666.66/kg respectively: IDR 86,000/kg for 40 sticks, IDR 67,000/kg and IDR 68,333.33/kg for 80 sticks, IDR 67,000/kg and IDR 68,333.33/kg for 80 sticks, IDR 61,000/kg and IDR 57,000/kg for 100 shrimps IDR 49,000/kg and IDR 50,333.33/kg. However, the prices of Aceh and Lampung have not been updated during this period, showing only the updates from the previous week.
