On the 20th, Jimu News reporters came to the Wuhan Railway Washing Center to visit and understand how the cloth products on the train were cleaned and disinfected and then renewed to serve passengers.
The Jumbo washing machine can wash up to 400 sheets at a time
Wuhan Railway Washing Center is located in Qingwang Road, Qingshan District, Wuhan City, the reporter just came to the door of the tens of thousands of square meters of large factory building, heard the rumbling sound of machinery and equipment. Walking in, the first thing that catches your eye is a few rows of giant drum washing machines, roughly counting, there are more than 40, all full horsepower.
Every batch of cloth to be washed is mixed together and sent here, so the first step needs to be sorted. According to the sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, seat covers, headrest pieces, cold blankets and other categories, can be put into the washing machine for washing.
The reporter saw that Yang Xi, a washing worker, was stuffing a cart full of sheets into the huge drum of the washing machine. Seeing that it was already full, he was still plugging it hard. "Can you wash so much?" He told reporters that these washing machines have three different sizes of washing gears, which can wash 50, 100 and 150 kilograms at a time. A single wash of 150 kg is equivalent to being able to tuck in up to 400 sheets at the same time. "Now it is dry, relatively fluffy, the volume will be much smaller after the water is wet, at the same time, the washing process also needs to rely on the friction between the sheets to enhance the washing capacity, if it is too little, the sheets are all floating on the water, it is not clean."
Unlike the direct use of ambient tap water for washing clothes at home, the washing here is hot water, and the temperature is as high as 70 or 80 degrees Celsius. Yang Xi said that hot water can not only strengthen the washing ability of dirty pollution, but also has a certain bactericidal and disinfection effect.
Different detergents are configured for different cloth products
Lu Rendi, the head of the washing class, dragged a flatbed truck back and forth between washing machines, adding detergent in turn. We usually wash clothes at home, generally put laundry detergent and softener two kinds, but the reporter saw that here used 6 kinds of washing solvents, including laundry detergent, washing powder, bleach powder, color bleaching liquid and so on.
"This is because different materials, different types, washing process requirements are different." Lü Rendi told reporters that every time he washed an item, he had to be modulated according to different proportions, so as to achieve the best washing effect.
Although the detergent is carefully mixed, and the whole washing process takes an hour and a half, not all cloth products can be washed at once. After the cleaning, the workers have to recheck one by one, and if they find that there is dirt, they must carry out a second re-washing.
"What we are most afraid of is rust, oil stains, tea stains, etc., as well as the stains left by passengers wiping their shoes with bed sheets, which are difficult to wash off at once." Lu Rendi told reporters that when the second re-washing, the detergent put in should be specially configured again, and the washing time was doubled to 3 hours. Despite this, there will still be a small number of stubborn stains that are still difficult to wash by washing the washing machine, and it is necessary to manually pick them out for hand washing.
The reporter saw that there was a sheet on the hand washing table, which was covered with rust, and a worker took a small bottle of rust remover, dripped on the rust one by one, and brushed a few times, and the rust slowly faded until it disappeared. "It often takes half a day to wash such a sheet."
In the first half of the year, it is expected to transform into an automated smart factory
After the bedding is cleaned, it moves on to the next process. The washed sheets are dried and transported to the steam-ironing machine. If it is a double-layer fabric such as a quilt cover or pillowcase, it needs to be dried once first.
At each end of the entrance and exit of each ironing machine, two workers are assigned. At the entrance, the workers stretch out the washed sheets and put them into the machine like a printing press; at the exit, the sheets that have been baked are exported flat and then stacked by the workers. The reporter saw that the workers responsible for flattening and stacking were very skilled, and a sheet only needed to be folded in half in four seconds to become neatly stacked in the size of a newspaper.
"The machine uses a high temperature steam of 100 degrees Celsius, and the sheets pass through the inside, which will not only be dried, but also scalded, and more importantly, disinfected and sterilized again." Liu Hongjian, the head of the shift, has been working in this position for 13 years, and she said that this link is also the most "baking" type of work. Due to the constant steam heat, the winter is still relatively warm, so you only need to wear a single coat, but in the summer, the ambient temperature here is as high as forty or fifty degrees Celsius, high temperature and high humidity, it is really uncomfortable.
Dong Tao, manager of the Wuhan Railway Travel Service Industrial Branch, told reporters that the average daily washing volume of this washing center last year was about 7 tons, and since entering the Spring Festival, with the increase of trains, while the new bedding washing work of xiangyang passenger section has been added, the daily washing volume has increased to about 17 tons, equivalent to 7-100,000 pieces. In the first half of this year, the washing center will start the update of smart factory equipment, purchase 1 set of intelligent washing production line, 1 set of high-speed automatic ironing line, and create an automated washing factory.
