Jiang Chu, director of the Haidian District Center for Disease Control and Prevention, further revealed in an interview with reporters that the transmission chain of the epidemic in Haidian District is clear, and the epidemic situation is expected to be controlled in a short period of time.

Is the case of "material transmission" of the new crown virus common? Jiang Chu said that the disease control in Haidian District has not dealt with the transmission of the new coronavirus to people before. CDCs have also detected COVID-19 on mail packages, but the content is very low. In this regard, Jiang Chu explained that the new cases on the 18th were observed as high-risk groups in home isolation, and the judgment was based on the fact that they had no direct contact with the new cases on the 15th.

Jiang Chu further explained that the so-called high-risk population refers to people who appear in the same poorly ventilated, narrow space and closed place within 3 hours to 1 day after the case or asymptomatic infected person leaves, or who appear in an area that may cause pollution during the stay of the case or asymptomatic infected person within 3 hours after leaving. This is the case with the new cases on the 18th.

Since there is no history of direct contact, where are the new cases on the 18th "recruited"? Jiang Chu revealed that it turned out that the new case on the 18th had visited its office during the onset of the case on the 15th. Office space is mostly a closed environment, in winter for the purpose of keeping warm, indoor fresh air volume is reduced, may cause the virus to stay for a long time. Coupled with the new cases on the 18th, due to physical reasons, the failure to receive the new crown vaccine increased the risk of infection with the virus.

Jiang Chu said that the emergence of the case on the 15th has aroused the great concern of the disease control department, and it is worried that behind this case that has not been in contact with high-risk people, has no travel history in medium and high-risk areas, and has not even been out of Beijing, there are more patients who have not surfaced. But through meticulous flow tuning and advanced genetic sequencing techniques, the CDC quickly locked in the case's relationship with positive international mail. Through personnel and environmental monitoring, disease control personnel found that the scope of pollution was small, and its transmission chain and contact methods were relatively clear.
