It is reported that the appearance of the concept car is close to that of the mass production model, and the official will be released at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year. At the same time, the brand logo of Jidu automotive robots was also announced.
Judging from the official information, the Jidu automobile robot concept car is suspected of adopting a "scissor door" design, and the door supports upward opening. In addition, the "standard" lidar of the new power model is placed in the middle of the two sides of the front cover, and adopts a liftable design, which is very cool.
It is reported that the appearance of the mass-produced version of the automotive robot will be 90% consistent with the concept car, which will be officially unveiled at the 2022 Beijing Auto Show held in April this year and officially launched next year.
Jidu Automobile has also tailored a brand visual system for automotive robots, including: the automotive robot brand logo "Pixel-J", colors and fonts. It is reported that Jidu's automotive robot runs through the three major product concepts of "free movement, natural communication, and self-growth", with L4 level automatic driving capabilities, advanced human-vehicle interaction system and accurate speech semantic recognition, as well as learning capabilities, which can be continuously optimized and upgraded.
Xia Yiping, CEO of Jidu, said that co-existing with AI runs through all actions of Jidu, and the design of Jidu's products and brand image is also a process of co-creation with AI. Jidu has created a complete set of visual systems for products and brands that conform to the positioning of automotive robot products.
Speaking of Jidu cars, everyone may be relatively unfamiliar. Jidu Automobile is an automotive robot start-up company initiated by Baidu Group and invested by Geely Group. The company was officially established in March 2021 with Xia Yiping as CEO.
