At Baidu Create 2021 (Baidu AI Developer Conference) in December 2021, Baidu founder, chairman and CEO Robin Li said that Jidu's automotive robot runs through the three product concepts of "free movement, natural communication and self-growth". Jidu auto robot has L4 level of automatic driving capabilities, can move freely; human-vehicle interaction and accurate recognition of speech semantics, so that cars and people can "naturally communicate", understand user emotions, real-time response to user needs; Jidu auto robot can carry out self-learning and iteration according to user habits, continuously optimize automatic driving and intelligent cockpit experience, and achieve "self-growth".

Jidu intelligent driving system is provided by Baidu autonomous driving computing platform and NVIDIA DRIVE Orin hardware and computing power, and the software and algorithms are jointly developed by Jidu and Baidu. Up to now, Baidu's cumulative autonomous driving test mileage has reached 21 million kilometers.
On January 19, 2022, Jidu announced some of the product design styles of its automotive robot concept car, and officially released the brand visual system tailored for automotive robots, including the industry's first automotive robot brand logo "Pixel-J", colors and fonts. It is reported that the appearance of the mass production version of the car robot will be 90% consistent with the concept car.
On January 26, Jidu Automobile announced the completion of nearly $400 million series A financing, which was jointly increased by Baidu and strategic partner Geely. After the financing is completed, Jidu will continue to accelerate the process of R&D and mass production, the part related to Jidu Automotive Intelligence will be empowered by Baidu Apollo, while the vehicle part will rely on the Geely SEA Vast Architecture, and the manufacturing and supply chain part will also use Geely's existing system.
